Amphiphilic block copolymer (AMBC) is composed of two homopolymer blocks with different chemical structures. One is hydrophilic and the other is hydrophobic. These macromolecules have the property of self-assembly when dissolved in aqueous medium. Peg-plga is one of the most commonly used biodegradable amphiphilic block copolymers for drug delivery. Peg is the hydrophilic part and PLGA is the hydrophobic part. It is used to synthesize targeted nanoparticles for drug differential delivery and controlled release.

Good biocompatibility, low immunogenicity and good degradability.

The properties can be easily adjusted by changing the segment size of block copolymer to adapt to specific applications.
