丙交酯是一種(zhǒng)有機化合物，分子式爲C6H8O4。爲無色透明片狀或針狀晶體，熔點93-95℃，沸點216℃，分子量144，易溶于氯仿，乙醇，不溶于水。易水解，易聚合，應低溫保存。與水共沸時(shí)，水解成(chéng)α-羟基丙酸（乳酸） 。

(3S)-順式-3，6-二甲基-1，4-二惡烷-2，5-二酮可用于合成(chéng)光學(xué)活性的含三吡啶的聚（L-丙交酯）、多分散乳酸低聚物、雙環和三環丙交酯衍生物。 用于合成(chéng)可生物降解的共聚物。

Lactide is an organic compound with the molecular formula C6H8O4. It is colorless, transparent, flaky or acicular crystal, melting point 93-95 ℃, boiling point 216 ℃, molecular weight 144, easily soluble in chloroform, ethanol and insoluble in water. It is easy to hydrolyze and polymerize and should be stored at low temperature. When it is azeotropic with water, it is hydrolyzed to α- Hydroxypropionic acid (lactic acid).

(3S) - cis-3,6-dimethyl-1,4-dioxane-2,5-dione can be used to synthesize optically active poly (L-lactide) containing tripyridine, polydisperse lactic acid oligomers, bicyclic and tricyclic lactide derivatives. It is used to synthesize biodegradable copolymers.
